서울 구로구에 있는 한 초등학교에서 포르말린이 유출되는 사고가 발생해 학생과 교사 등 1200여 명이 대피했다.

구로소방서에 따르면 25일 오전 10시 40분께 구일초등학교 과학실에서 포르말린 약 300㎖가 유출됐다.
포르말린은 살충제, 살균제, 소독제 등으로 쓰이는 화학물질로, 독성이 강해 인체에 해를 끼칠 수 있다.
사고는 포르말린을 옮기던 작업자가 병을 깨뜨리는 실수를 저지르면서 발생한 것으로 전해졌다. 이 작업자는 사고 즉시 소방당국에 신고했으며, 출동한 소방 특수구조대는 1시간가량 작업 끝에 용액을 모두 수거했다.
구일초 측은 학생과 교사 등 1200여 명을 대피시켰으며, 이후 모든 학생을 귀가시켰다. 인명피해는 없는 것으로 알려졌다.
