강제추행 혐의를 받는 그룹 '신화' 멤버 이민우(40) 씨가 검찰에 넘겨졌다.

서울 강남경찰서는 이 씨를 강제추행 혐의로 불구속 기소 의견으로 서울중앙지검에 송치했다고 17일 밝혔다.
이 씨는 지난달 29일 서울 강남구 신사동 소재의 한 주점에서 동료들과 술을 마시다 옆 테이블에 있던 20대 여성지인 2명을 추행한 혐의를 받고 있다.
여성 측은 사건 당일 경찰에 "이 씨가 강제로 입을 맞추는 등 성추행을 했다"고 진술한 것으로 알려졌다.
이 씨는 경찰 조사 과정에서 "친근감의 표현이고 장난이 좀 심해진 것일 뿐 다른 의도는 없었다"고 언급한 것으로 전해졌다.
그러나 경찰은 확보한 술집 내 폐쇄회로(CC)TV 영상 분석을 토대로 이 씨에게 강제추행 혐의를 적용해 검찰에 넘겼다고 설명했다.
한편 피해자들은 고소를 취하했으나 경찰은 강제추행죄가 비친고죄임을 고려해 수사를 지속해왔다.
