구조동물 안락사 혐의로 논란을 빚은 동물권단체 '케어' 박소연 대표의 구속 여부가 이르면 29일 결정된다.

서울중앙지방법원은 이날 오전 10시 30분 동물보호법 위반, 업무상 횡령 등의 혐의를 받는 박 대표의 구속 전 피의자 심문(영장실질심사)을 연다.
경찰과 동물권 단체 등에 따르면 박 대표는 보호소 공간이 부족 하다는 이유로 등으로 구조한 동물 200여 마리를 안락사해 동물보호법 위반 혐의를 받는다.
또 박 대표는 개인 소송을 위해 단체 후원금 중 3300만 원을 변호사 선임 비용으로 사용하는 등 업무상 횡령 혐의, 기부금 일부를 목적 외로 쓴 혐의를 받는다.
이외에도 케어가 소유한 동물보호소 부지를 박 대표 개인 명의로 사들여 부동산실명법 위반 혐의를 받는다.
