제8호 태풍 '프란시스코'가 다음 주 중반께 한반도에 상륙할 가능성이 생겼다.

3일 기상청에 따르면 '프란시스코'는 이날 오전 9시께 일본 도쿄 남동쪽 약 1540㎞ 바다에서 북서쪽을 향해 시속 40㎞로 이동했다.
'프란시스코'는 일본 가고시마 부근을 거쳐 6일 오전 9시께 제주도 서귀포 동남동쪽 약 260㎞ 바다에 있을 것으로 예측된다.
기상청은 태풍이 7일 오전 9시께 전북 군산 서북서쪽 약 70㎞ 부근 해상, 8일 오전 9시께 북한 강원도 원산 남서쪽 약 40㎞ 부근 육상에 있을 것으로 예상했다.
앞서 태풍 '프란시스코'는 지난 2일 오전 9시께 괌 북동쪽 해상에서 발생했다.
프란시스코는 소형 태풍으로 미국에서 제출한 남자 이름이다. 중심기압은 994hPa, 최대 풍속은 76km(초속 21m)이며 강풍 반경은 200km이다.
